Robert Keate FRCS (14 March 1777 – 2 October 1857) fue un cirujano británico destacado y Serjeant-Surgeon de los reyes Guillermo IV y Victoria.
Vida temprana
Nació en Laverton, Somerset, cuarto hijo de William Keate, rector de Laverton, y hermano de John Keate (1773–1852), director de Eton College. Keate estudió en Bath Grammar School.
Vida personal
Keate tuvo cuatro hijas y dos hijos. Su hijo, Robert William Keate (1814–1873), fue a su vez gobernador de Trinidad, gobernador de Natal y gobernador de la Costa de Oro.
