Rosheim es una comuna en el departamento de Bas-Rhin en Grand Est en el noreste de Francia.
Se encuentra al suroeste de Strasbourg, en las laderas orientales de las montañas de los Vosges. Es una ciudad vinícola en la turística "Road of the Wines of Alsace" y la Route Romane d'Alsace ("Romanesque route of Alsace").
History
Rosheim fue mencionada por primera vez en un documento en 778 como Rodasheim. En 1262 recibió su town charter, junto con el derecho a construir un town wall.
Desde los siglos XIV al XVII, Rosheim fue una Imperial City del Holy Roman Empire, y fundó la confederación Décapole con otras nueve Alsatian Imperial Cities en 1354, el objetivo era mantener sus derechos. Al igual que las otras Decapolitan cities, fue otorgada a Francia por la Peace of Westphalia y finalmente perdió su independencia bajo los Treaties of Nijmegen y fue anexada por Francia.
