History
Rovers FC was founded in 2009 through shared vision of four passionate amateur level footballers who committed to embarking on the development of a premier football club to challenge the island's historically dominant clubs. The masters (40+) team provided the foundation of the club with success in all championship finals from 2009–19. Numerous other fruitful tours resulted in travels to Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands and Hong Kong. Plans for the club's growth were cultivated during the many trips abroad for friendlies. In 2010, a Rovers FC Division 2 team was established in the Guam Football Association Men's League. After finishing 1st, 2nd, and 1st, a decision was made in 2013 to finally enter the top level on the island through the development of a Division 1 squad. To provide a sustainable base of players it was also decided to form a youth program. In 2014 the first Rovers Youth squad was formed in the u6 division with a plan to expand into all divisions over the next few years. In 2018 Rovers FC became the second largest club on Guam with a team in every adult and youth league division.
Club location
In 2017 the club developed a regular practice and home field in association with St Johns School by adopting their field and accepting local students into the club. In 2022 the club acquired a long term lease to develop an outdoor practice mini pitch to use for skilled training sessions for all divisions and age groups. Today this is the main clubrooms for the club and its home base. As outlined in the clubs charter the club is always pursuing its options to develop a full size pitch on Guam.
