Samuel Whitbread fue un político británico. El heredero de un rico cervecero, fue un whig acérrimo que ocupó un escaño en el Parlamento desde 1790 hasta su muerte. Poco después de la Batalla de Waterloo murió por suicidio, habiendo sido muy simpatizante del derrotado emperador francés Napoleón.
