Resumen

Selena es una película de drama musical biográfico estadounidense de 1997 sobre la estrella de música tejana Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, interpretada por Jennifer Lopez. Trama En el Astrodome de Houston, Texas, el 26 de febrero de 1995, la superestrella tejana Selena Quintanilla Pérez se presenta ante un público agotado ("Disco Medley"). En 1961, el joven Abraham Quintanilla Jr. y su banda "The Dinos" son rechazados por el dueño de un restaurante después de una audición en Texas. Se presentan en un club nocturno mexicano-estadounidense, pero se produce un disturbio cuando no interpretan la música tejana preferida por el público, sino pop estadounidense ("Oldies Medley"). Veinte años después, Abraham está casado con Marcella Samora y tiene tres hijos: el hijo Abraham III (A.B.), y las hijas Suzette y Selena. Al descubrir el talento de Selena para el canto, Abraham crea la banda "Selena y Los Dinos", con ella como vocalista principal, A.B. en el bajo y Suzette en la batería.
