Shenyang Conservatory of Music

Shenyang Conservatory of Music is a music college in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. It is one of nine major conservatories in China. Established in 1938, the school serves approximately 8,000 students in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies. History The school was founded in 1938 as Luxun Academy of Arts by Chinese Communist Party leaders, including Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai, Lin Boch, Xu Teli, Cheng Fangwu, Ai Siqi, Zhou Yang and other older generations of proletarian revolutionaries in the town of Yan'an, Shaanxi province. The school moved to Shenyang and was renamed the Northeast Lu Xun College of Literature and Art at the end of 1948. In 1953, the Musical Technical School of the Northeast was founded on the base of the Academy’s music department and was renamed the Shenyang Conservatory of Music. Shenyang Conservatory of Music is one of the best famous conservatory in China. In 2008, the Conservatory celebrated its 70th anniversary. In 2016, the college was identified as the key construction university of the first-class university in Liaoning Province by the government of Liaoning Province. Campus The Shenyang Conservatory of Music has four campuses—Sanhao Campus (major campus), Chanqing Campus, Taoxian Campus and Dalian Campus.
