Simón Bolívar University is a public university in Venezuela with a focus on science, technology, and engineering. Founded by presidential decree in 1967 and inaugurated in 1970, it operates two campuses: the main campus in the Sartenejas valley of Baruta municipality, Miranda state, and a second campus in Camurí Grande, Vargas state, on the Caribbean coast.
