Simon Edmund Vincent Paul Elwes, was a British war artist and society portrait painter whose patrons included presidents, kings, queens, statesmen, sportsmen, prominent social figures and many members of the British royal family. He was a favourite of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
