Not who you're looking for? Others named Sogndal Municipality: municipality in Vestland, Norway
Sogndal is a former municipality and small seaport (ladested) in Rogaland county, Norway. The 19-hectare (47-acre) municipality existed from 1845 until its dissolution in 1944. The area is now part of Sokndal Municipality in the traditional district of Dalane. The administrative centre was the village of Sogndalsstranda. The small municipality was composed of two small neighboring harbor villages: the 7-hectare (17-acre) Sogndalsstranda and the 12-hectare (30-acre) Rægefjord. The river Sogndalselva reaches the ocean at Sogndalsstranda.
