España, oficialmente el Reino de España, es un país en el sur y el oeste de Europa con territorios en el norte de África. Con el punto más meridional de la Europa continental, es el país más grande del sur de Europa y el cuarto estado miembro más poblado de la Unión Europea (UE). Abarcando la mayor parte de la península ibérica, su territorio también incluye las islas Canarias, en el océano Atlántico oriental; las islas Baleares, en el mar Mediterráneo occidental; y las ciudades autónomas de Ceuta y Melilla, en el continente africano. La España peninsular limita al norte con Francia, Andorra y el golfo de Vizcaya; al este y al sur con el mar Mediterráneo, Gibraltar y Marruecos; y al oeste con Portugal y el océano Atlántico. La capital y la ciudad más grande de España es Madrid; otras áreas urbanas importantes incluyen Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza, Sevilla, Bilbao, Málaga, Murcia, Palma de Mallorca y Las Palmas.
