En gráficos por computadora, un sprite es un mapa de bits bidimensional que se integra en una escena más grande, con mayor frecuencia en un videojuego en 2D. Originalmente, el término sprite se refería a objetos de tamaño fijo compuestos juntos, por hardware, con un fondo. Desde entonces, el uso del término se ha vuelto más general.
