St. Charles East High School

St. Charles East High School is a public four-year high school located in St. Charles, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Community Unit School District 303. The school was known as "St. Charles High School" from its opening in 1977 until fall of 2000 when a second school in the city, St. Charles North High School, was opened. At that time the school name changed to "St. Charles East High School." Academics In 2011, Saint Charles East had an average composite ACT score of 19.0 and a graduation rate of 89.8%. The average class size is 23.3. Saint Charles East has made Adequate Yearly Progress on the Prairie State Achievements Examination, a state test part of the No Child Left Behind Act. Activities In 2012, the Saint Charles East team finished first at the state Science Olympiad Single A Division held at the University of Illinois.
