The Impossible es el único álbum solista del cantante inglés Ken Lockie, después de disolver su banda, Cowboys International, en 1980. Fue lanzado por Virgin Records, en 1981, y fue grabado con la ayuda de dos de los excompañeros de Lockie en Cowboys International, el guitarrista Stevie Shears y el baterista Paul Simon, y otros músicos conocidos, como John McGeoch de Siouxsie and the Banshees (guitarra), John Doyle (batería), Preston Heyman de Tom Robinson Band (batería), Joe Dworniak de Shake Shake! e I-Level (bajo), Jim Kerr de Simple Minds y Nash the Slash. "Too Much and Too Little" fue en realidad una pista no acreditada de Cowboys International grabada en 1980 en Good Earth Studios.
