La República es un diálogo socrático escrito por Platón alrededor del 375 a. C., que trata sobre la justicia, el orden y el carácter del estado-ciudad justo, y del hombre justo. Es la obra más conocida de Platón, y una de las obras más influyentes del mundo en filosofía y teoría política, tanto intelectual como históricamente.
