Thomas Barton, D.D. (fallecido en 1681–2), fue un clérigo realista.
Vida
Barton recibió su educación en Magdalen Hall, Oxford, y obtuvo ambos grados en artes en esa universidad antes del 20 de noviembre de 1629, cuando fue presentado por Carlos I al rectorado de Eynesbury, Huntingdonshire, entonces vacante por simonía. Posteriormente, y al parecer en 1631, se convirtió en rector de Westmeston, Sussex, beneficio del cual fue privado en 1642 por los parlamentarios debido a su lealtad al Rey. Durante la guerra civil fue capellán del príncipe Rupert, y el 25 de agosto de 1660 fue restituido en su rectorado de Westmeston. El 21 de marzo de 1663 fue creado D.D. en Oxford en virtud de una carta del conde de Clarendon, canciller de la universidad. Fue enterrado en Westmeston el 25 de marzo de 1682–3.
