Join the roomThomas Gordon foi um escritor escocês e Commonwealthman. Juntamente com John Trenchard, publicou The Independent Whig, um periódico semanal. De 1720 a 1723, Trenchard e Gordon escreveram uma série de 144 ensaios intitulados Cato's Letters, condenando a corrupção e a falta de moralidade no sistema político britânico e alertando contra a tirania.
