Thomas Kavanagh, The MacMorrough (10 March 1767 – 20 January 1837) era um proprietário de terras irlandês.
Biography
Ele era o quarto filho de Thomas Kavanagh de Borris, County Carlow com sua esposa Lady Susanna, filha de Walter Butler, 16th Earl of Ormonde. Ele sucedeu seu irmão mais velho Walter nas propriedades da família em 1813.
Ele ocupou uma cadeira na House of Commons of Ireland por Kilkenny de 1797 a 1799 e na House of Commons of the United Kingdom por County Carlow de 1826 a 1831. Ele não conseguiu ser eleito na eleição geral de 1832, mas representou o condado novamente de 1835 até sua morte.
Ele se casou com a artista Lady Harriet Kavanagh (née Trench) em 28 February 1825. O casal teve três filhos Charles, Thomas, Arthur, e uma filha, Harriet ou "Hoddy". Seu filho mais novo Arthur MacMurrough Kavanagh nasceu com membros vestigiais e Lady Harriet insistiu que ele fosse criado com as mesmas oportunidades que os outros filhos. Após a morte de Thomas, Lady Harriet levou seus três filhos mais novos para viajar pelo Oriente Médio por dois anos.
