About touchback
En el fútbol americano, un touchback es una decisión que toma y señala un oficial cuando el balón queda muerto en o detrás de la línea de gol propia de un equipo y el equipo contrario le dio al balón el impulso o ímpetu para cruzar la línea de gol, pero no tenía posesión del balón cuando quedó muerto. Dicho ímpetu puede ser impartido por un punt, un pase, un fumble o, en ciertos casos, al batear el balón. Por lo tanto, un touchback no es una jugada, sino un resultado de eventos que pueden ocurrir durante una jugada.
