Acadia expects Rett drug protection through 2041
Acadia Pharmaceuticals received a U.S. patent allowance covering weight-banded dosing of trofinetide, the active ingredient in DAYBUE and DAYBUE STIX for Rett syndrome. Including pediatric exclusivity, the patent is expected to extend U.S. protection to March 28, 2041—nearly five years beyond existing method-of-use protection.
