Es una grabación del ensayo general de la propia producción abreviada de Welles en su alma mater, la Todd School for Boys, donde había regresado para dirigir esta adaptación de la Twelfth Night de Shakespeare para el Festival de Drama de Chicago en 1933. La obra ganó el primer premio en el festival de ese año, presentado como parte de la Feria Mundial de Chicago de 1933, A Century of Progress Exposition.
