Vontobel Posts Record H1 Profit 87%

Vontobel posted a record first-half profit of CHF216 million, up 87% year-on-year as revenue rose about 24% to CHF852 million and the cost-income ratio improved to 67.9% with ROE at 16.9%, supported by solid client activity. Assets under management climbed 5% to CHF252.2 billion, with net new money of CHF2.5 billion amid outflows linked to Raiffeisen’s Futura mandate and Quality Growth strategies, while the firm expanded in the US with a Los Angeles office and announced a Düsseldorf branch to open later in the year; Private Clients and Structured Solutions drove inflows and growth across regions amid ongoing AI-related headwinds.
