Join the roomWalter Gilbert (1871–1946) fue un escultor inglés. Estudió primero en Birmingham Municipal School of Art y luego en la National Art Training School, ahora el Royal College of Art. Después de una corta carrera como instructor, Gilbert trabajó en la Bromsgrove Guild, donde fue director, y luego en H.H. Martyn & Co. Mientras estuvo en la Guild, Gilbert colaboró con Louis Weingartner. Cuando se mudó a H.H. Martyn, su hijo, Donald Gilbert, también fue empleado por la firma, y padre e hijo colaboraron en muchas obras. Se retiró en 1940 y murió seis años después.
