Join the roomSir William Scott fue un abogado inglés y presidente del Tribunal del Rey desde el 8 de enero de 1341 hasta el 26 de noviembre de 1346. Originario de Yorkshire –probablemente Birthwaite en Kexbrough–, Scott como presidente del tribunal presidió juicios derivados de la purga de la administración de Eduardo III en los años anteriores. Entre los juzgados se encontraba William de la Pole. Tras retirarse de este cargo, Scott se alejó en gran medida de la vida pública, probablemente debido a problemas de salud. Regresó a Yorkshire para atender sus propiedades. El Oxford Dictionary of National Biography indica que "siguió vivo el 10 de marzo de 1352...pero ciertamente había fallecido el 11 de mayo de 1356, y probablemente para 1354".
