Winifred Maxwell, Countess of Nithsdale

Winifred Maxwell, Dowager Countess of Nithsdale, was a British aristocrat, best known for arranging the daring escape of her husband, William Maxwell, 5th Earl of Nithsdale, from the Tower of London in 1716.
