The World Food Programme says it is halving its West Bank food assistance from 400,000 to 200,000 due to a funding shortfall, highlighting a doubling of needs and about 900,000 food-insecure people in the territory. The funding gap is affecting Gaza as well (about 1.5 million people) with a six‑month funding requirement of $386 million to avert further cuts.
