White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow is sharing his thoughts on President Donald Trump’s previous remarks about mail-in voting.

CNBC’s Kayla Tausche noted in some states, including Pennsylvania, federal judges have allowed for the counting of mail-in ballots if they are postmarked and dropped off by a certain time on Election Day amid the coronavirus pandemic.

She argued the Supreme Court has upheld these decisions in many of these cases.

Tausche asked Kudlow how Trump can still say they are illegal.

“Look, I’m not declaring fraud. We’ll let the lawyers determine the legality. We’ll let the court system work. America is the greatest democracy in the world and it will work, just as it always does,” Kudlow said.

He added, “Once again I will say to you, the president is in very good shape on the remaining swing states, very good shape.”

During a rally on Monday, Trump slammed the Supreme Court for allowing Pennsylvania to count absentee ballots received three days after Election Day, as IJR previously reported.

“What a ruling. What a horrible thing that they’ve done. You know that puts our country in danger?” Trump said.

He continued, “Do you know what can happen during that long period of time? … That long period of time. Do you know what can happen? Number one, cheating can happen like you’ve never seen. This is [the Democrats’] dream.”

The presidential contest remains undecided, as of Wednesday afternoon.

Trump declared a false victory over Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden early Wednesday and claimed the election is riddled with fraud, as IJR previously reported.

“We were getting ready to win this election. Frankly, we did win this election,” Trump said. “This is a major fraud on our nation. We want the law to be used in a proper manner. So we’ll be going to the U.S. Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop.”

Trump’s campaign will demand a vote recount in Wisconsin.

“There have been reports of irregularities in several Wisconsin counties which raise serious doubts about the validity of the results,” campaign manager Bill Stepien said.

He went on, “The President is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so.”
