Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, is touching on his work for a Ukrainian gas company, Burisma, and whether or not he would repeat that work.

“Knowing all of that now: No, I would not do it again,” Hunter Biden wrote in his upcoming memoir, “Beautiful Things,” according to Fox News. “I wouldn’t take the seat on Burisma’s board. Trump would have to look elsewhere to find a suitable distraction for his impeachable behavior.”

Additionally, the president’s son wrote, “I did nothing unethical, and have never been charged with wrongdoing. In our current political environment, I don’t believe it would make any difference if I took that seat or not. I’d be attacked anyway.”

During the 2020 presidential campaign, Republicans sought to hammer Hunter Biden for business dealings in Ukraine. He joined Burisma’s board in 2014.

Hunter Biden apparently “had no apparent qualifications for the job except that his father was the vice president and involved in the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy. He got paid up to $50,000 per month for the job,” Vox reports.

When Trump made unsubstantiated claims about Hunter Biden during the final 2020 presidential debate, Joe Biden pushed backed, “There’s a reason why he’s bringing up all this malarkey. He doesn’t want to talk about the substantive issues. It’s not about his family and my family. It’s about your family.”

“What I do believe, in this current climate, is that it wouldn’t matter what I did or didn’t do,” Hunter Biden added in his memoir. “The attacks weren’t intended for me. They were meant to wound my dad.”

Hunter Biden also called Trump “a vile man with a vile mission” who went to “unprecedented depths” during the 2020 presidential election.

His memoir will come out on April 6.
