Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is blasting Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) for condemning Rep. Lauren Boebert’s (R-Colo.) comments about one of their Democratic colleagues.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday, Greene wrote, “[Nancy Mace] is the trash in the GOP Conference. Never attacked by Democrats or RINO’s (same thing) because she is not conservative, she’s pro-abort.”

“Mace you can back up off of [Lauren Boebert] or just go hang with your real gal pals, the Jihad Squad. Your out of your league,” she continued.

The Georgia Congresswoman shared a link to Mace’s appearance on CNN when she condemned Boebert’s comments and added, “Mace fits right in on [CNN].”

Later she acknowledged the typo in her first tweet and wrote, “So trashy not worth a spelling correction.”

Mace responded to Greene’s comments by pointing out the typo. She added, “And, while I’m correcting you, I’m a pro-life fiscal conservative who was attacked by the Left all weekend (as I often am) as I defied China while in Taiwan. What I’m not is a religious bigot (or racist). You might want to try that over there in your little ‘league.’”

On Monday, Mace appeared on CNN and condemned Boebert’s controversial comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

“I have time after time condemned my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for racist tropes and remarks that I find disgusting and this is no different than any others,” Mace said.

She continued, “As a member of Congress and seeing such division in our country, we all have a responsibility, both elected members of Congress on both sides of the aisle and the American people in our communities and at work in our communities and everything else to lower the temperature, and this does not do that.”

Last week, a video surfaced of Boebert telling an allegedly made-up story about an elevator ride she shared with Omar, as IJR reported.

“I was getting into an elevator with one of my staffers,” Boebert began as she claimed she saw a Capitol police officer “running hurriedly to the elevator” with “fret all over his face.”

She continued, “I look to my left, and there she is — Ilhan Omar. And I said, ‘Well, she doesn’t have a backpack. We should be fine.’ So we only had one floor to go…I looked over, and I said, ‘Oh look, the jihad squad decided to show up for work today.’”

She later apologized to “anyone in the Muslim community I offended with my comment,” and a phone call was set up between the two Congresswomen.

However, the call apparently did not go well. On Monday, Boebert said Omar asked for a public apology during the call and hung up after she pushed the Minnesota Congresswoman to “make a public apology to the American people for her anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-police rhetoric.”

In a statement, Omar said she hung up because Boebert “refused to publicly acknowledge her hurtful and dangerous comment” and “instead doubled down on her rhetoric.”
