Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) reflected on her “21 wins” for this year.
“In addition to some of our exciting work in Congress, we also have a lot of powerful community-building wins for us to share,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a video posted to her Twitter account.
Some of her accomplishments include launching a vaccine outreach campaign, reintroducing the Green New Deal, fighting to extend the federal eviction moratorium, fighting for the expanded child tax credit, and introducing 10 bills and 30 amendments.
“We have done an enormous amount this year because of your organizing, support, and mobilization. So I hope you all have a really wonderful end of the year and a very Happy New Year,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Despite the challenges, we’ve accomplished so much together over the past year. Thank you to EVERYONE who zoomed, taught, organized, and built community with us.
Without further ado: 21 wins for 2021.

The Democrat made headlines recently after criticizing Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.) for withholding his vote on the Build Back Better Act.
During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” earlier this week, Ocasio-Cortez said, “The idea that Joe Manchin says he can’t explain this back home to his people is a farce.”
She added, “I mean it’s a farce in terms of plain democracy because I represent just as many or more people than Joe Manchin does.”
According to Fox News, West Virginia has approximately 1.8 million residents while her district has around 700,000 residents as of 2019.
Last month, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) targeted Ocasio-Cortez by posting a manipulated anime video showing him attacking her and President Joe Biden, as IJR previously reported.
She responded in a series of tweets.
“So while I was en route to Glasgow, a creepy member I work with who fundraises for Neo-Nazi groups shared a fantasy video of him killing me. And he’ll face no consequences bc [Kevin McCarthy] cheers him on with excuses. Fun Monday! Well, back to work bc institutions don’t protect woc,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.
She continued, “Remember when Yoho accosted me on the the Capitol and called me a f—ing b—. Remember when Greene ran after me a few months ago screaming and reaching. Remember when she stalked my office the 1st time w/ insurrectionists and ppl locked inside All at my job and nothing ever happens.”
The progressive lawmaker went on to argue, “This dude is a just a collection of wet toothpicks anyway. White supremacy is for extremely fragile people and sad men like him, whose self concept relies on the myth that he was born superior because deep down he knows he couldn’t open a pickle jar or read a whole book by himself.”
