Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Tesla CEO Elon Musk got into a spat on Twitter after she tweeted about “some billionaire with an ego problem.”
“Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening [because] some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Friday.
That prompted Musk to respond, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”

However, the New York Congresswoman shot back, “I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok.”
According to ProPublica, her response was quickly deleted.
But on Saturday, she tweeted, “Like I said, ego problems.”

The exchange comes after Twitter announced that it had accepted Musk’s offer to buy the company for around $44 billion, as IJR reported.
In December, Ocasio-Cortez was roasted by conservatives for deciding to vacation in Florida.
Former Trump adviser Steve Cortes tweeted a picture and highlighted the lawmaker’s boyfriend’s sandals and wrote, “If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL.”
“Her guy is showing his gross pale male feet in public (not at a pool/beach) with hideous sandals,” he added.

Ocasio-Cortez responded, “If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos.”
It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women,& LGBT+ people in general.

These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird
“It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women, [and] LGBT+ people in general,” she continued.
Finally, the Congresswoman concluded, “These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird.”
