Fox Weather reporter Robert Ray took it upon himself to rescue a woman during a flood in Texas.

Reporter Shannon Murray tweeted the video with the caption, “We pulled up to get video of the flooding in downtown Dallas and moments later, [Fox Weather’s] [Robert Ray] had to rescue this woman from her vehicle. She is safe. There’s another vehicle completely submerged just ahead of hers.”

Ray could be seen pushing the car and then pulling the woman out of the car through the passenger window.

“She literally, as I was standing here setting up for the shot, guys, pulled in and didn’t realize it,” Ray said.

He added, “The next thing you know, her car was floating. So, I went out there and tried to push her vehicle as best I could.”

The woman, Stephanie Carroll, explained to Ray that she did not see the water on the road, as Fox Weather reported.

“I didn’t see anything,” Carroll said.

She continued, “I thought I was just going to drive. I go this way every day to get my daughter.”

Carroll told the outlet she thought she was “dying,” adding, “I thought I was going to die. I thought I was going to drown.”

The Washington Post reported that, in some isolated areas, “Rainfall totals would be considered a 1-in-1,000-year flood.”

Additionally, the outlet pointed out that rescue efforts were ongoing across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
