Texas Rep. Pete Sessions (R) has called out the Biden administration for what he perceives as their attempt to make “everything in your life…free” if you earn less than $150,000 a year.

Sessions made his comments during a Sunday appearance on Newsmax‘s “Wake Up America” where he said that the current administration wants to change the economy in such a way that is not sustainable.

The congressman said “it is a lie for them to say that this is good for the American people.”

Sessions spoke directly to the administration’s recent announcement to eliminate up to $20,000 in student loan debt, saying, “It will take away everyone’s desire to not only get a quality education because it will diminish that, but it will federalize all schools in this country, and that is exactly what the socialists in Washington want.”

“This disrupted not only student loans but disrupted some 300,000 jobs,” said Sessions. “At the time, they raised interest rates far above what the market was, and today it’s about 2% above prime.”

The congressman went on to say that he believes eliminating student loan debt will make inflation levels increase even beyond current levels.

“That is the price of inflation, and I expect it will go higher after this election because the president will quit taking from the strategic petroleum reserves and then put the noose around the American people,” said Sessions.

However, the decisions from the Democrats are the “bad part,” according to the Texas congressman, who said these plans are “completely irresponsible [and] expensive.”

“This is the price we are paying now with inflation,” Sessions added. “Our free enterprise system has contracted by 1.2%. We’re going to come out with the numbers at the end of September, and they will be staggering.”

Earlier this year, Sessions said in a previous interview that Democrats in Washington have “made friends” with inflation via their policies.

“This president, as a long-term senator going back and forth to Delaware and back, he has no clue what the American people are going through,” Sessions told “Saturday Report” in February, according to Newsmax. He went on to say that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) have also contributed greatly to increased inflation through their actions.

“They talked people into not working, in a capitalist country, rather than going to work,” Sessions said of Democrats. “That meant that the teachers’ unions they have become very close and dear friends with, they talked them into staying home, so parents have to stay home.”
