President Joe Biden appeared to become critical of Fox News reporter Peter Doocy’s coverage after being pressed on whether the issue of abortion or inflation is more important.

After delivering remarks on his infrastructure law Wednesday, Doocy jumped in to ask Biden, “Just hoping to clarify for midterm voters, top domestic issue: inflation or abortion?”

Biden replied, “All important. Unlike you, there’s no one thing. It crosses the board. Domestic — ask me about foreign policy too. There’s multiple, multiple, multiple issues, and they’re all important.”

He added, “And so — and we ought to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. You know that old expression?”

Doocy’s question was not the only one of the day that appeared to frustrate Biden.

He was also asked about Republicans suggesting his release of 15 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is politically motivated, as IJR reported.

“Where have they been the past four months?” Biden asked, adding, “That’s my response.”

He continued, “No, it’s not. Look, it makes sense. I’ve been doing this for how long now? It’s not politically motivated at all. It’s motivated to make sure that I continue to push on what I’ve been pushing on.”

The president explained, “And that is making sure there’s enough oil that’s being pumped by the companies so that we have the ability to be able to produce enough oil that we need here at home.”

Earlier this week, Biden shared what his top legislative agenda would be if Democrats take seats in the Senate, as IJR reported.

“The court got Roe right nearly 50 years ago,” Biden said. “And I believe Congress should codify Roe once and for all.”

He added, “The first bill that I will send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade. And when Congress passes it, I’ll sign it in January — 50 years after Roe was first decided the law of the land.”

Over the weekend, Biden was also asked about the economy and received backlash after claiming it is “strong.”

Biden said he is “concerned about the rest of the world. Does that make sense? … Our economy is strong as hell… inflation is worldwide, worse off everywhere else than it is in the United States. So the problem is the lack of economic growth and sound policy in other countries.”

NPR noted prices in September hit another 40-year high, citing data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Last week, a CNN poll found 90% of voters believe the economy is important to their vote while 72% believe abortion is important to their vote.

Seventy-two percent say immigration is as important.

Only 60% call climate change important to their vote.
