Emily Kohrs, a grand jury foreperson based in Atlanta, Georgia, sparked conversation on social media following interviews about former President Donald Trump and an election crimes investigation.

She is the foreperson for the Georgia grand jury looking into efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

During an appearance on CNN, anchor Kate Bolduan asked about the number of indictments recommended in the case.

“I think if you look at the page numbers of the report, there’s about six pages in the middle that got cut out. Allow for spacing, it’s not a short list,” Kohrs replied.

Bolduan responded, “Not a short list. I mean, when it comes to 75 witnesses, it’s not — I assume, of course, it’s not 75 people. Would you characterize it as 20-ish people?”

Kohrs said she did not count them.

“Okay. More than a dozen, though, I think I had heard you say in another interview?” Bolduan said.

Kohrs answered, “I believe so. That’s probably a good assumption.”

When asked directly about whether charges were recommended against Trump, Kohrs said, “I really don’t want to share something that the judge made a conscious decision not to share. I will tell you that it was a process where we heard his name a lot.”

She continued, “We definitely heard a lot about former President Trump, and we definitely discussed him a lot in the room. And I will say that when this list comes out, you wouldn’t — there are no major plot twists waiting for you.”

Twitter users were quick to share their thoughts on the interview.

“Her face can’t decide which way it wants to go. Giving me motion sickness,” one user said in the replies.

One tweet suggested Kohrs “seems animated by something.”

Reporter Chuck Ross explained, “Very sketchy. Emily Kohrs, the foreperson on the Trump grand jury in Georgia, is making the rounds at all major media outlets to tease what the grand jury decided. This is before any indictments have been handed down.”

Journalist Don Bradshaw suggested there is “something ‘off’ about these interviews with [Georgia] Grand Jury foreperson [Emily Kohrs].”

He continued, “Flighty. Immature. Starstruck. Detached. It almost seems like she believes she was a reality-show contestant, and not part of one of the most significant legal cases in U.S. history.”

Get off TV @EmilyKohrs. You’re making a mockery of the grand jury. You do not belong on any grand jury. #GeorgiaGrandJury #DonaldTrump pic.twitter.com/l6SrkCxOix

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been looking into Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.

Twitter users were not the only ones puzzled by Kohrs’ decision to provide interviews to different outlets.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Elie Honig discussed the matter.

“First of all, why this person is talking on TV, I do not understand. Because, she’s clearly enjoying herself, but I mean, is this responsible? She was the foreperson of this grand jury,” Cooper said.

He added, “I was wincing just watching her eagerness to like, hint at stuff.”

This is real.

It isn’t a parody.

Honig replied, “It’s painful in that respect. That’s a very serious prospect here. We’re talking about – indicting any person, you’re talking about potentially taking away that person’s liberty – we’re talking about potentially former president for the first time in this nation of history. She does not seem to be taking that very seriously.”

As CNN noted, Trump is also being investigated by Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and his handling of classified material.
