Former President Donald Trump may feel a little better about his 2024 chances after a segment on Fox News.
On Tuesday, “Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade conducted a poll of people in a Florida diner to see who their 2024 preferences are.
“2024, who’s pumped up for the election?” Kilmeade asked, which drew applause from the diners.
He added, “Rapid fire: who’s your man? Who’s your woman?”
Every diner-goer who answered chose Trump.
Some offered running mates such as South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem or former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.
Kilmeade asked one woman wearing a DeSantis shirt what she thought about “President DeSantis.”
“I like it,” she responded.
When asked who she would pick between the two men, she said, “Oh gosh. Trump or Desantis, I’m either or.”

Trump shared an article about the segment on his Truth Social and wrote, “Fox is working overtime for DeSanctus, but they are failing—Look at the Polls. We are MAGA!”
It is not surprising it did not take long for the former president to find and share the clip. He has a history of sharing unscientific polls that make him look good.
And at first glance, this segment appears to be a bad sign for a DeSantis presidential bid. If Fox cannot find even one enthusiastic DeSantis voter in his own state, how much support does he really have?
But it is not a scientific polling method, nor is it indicative of the general mood in Florida.
And the Florida governor has not even announced a 2024 presidential bid. It is also not yet clear, if he runs, what exactly a DeSantis policy platform would look like for domestic issues and foreign policy questions such as Ukraine.
So it may not be the best sign for DeSantis — but it is also not necessarily something to boast about.
