Actor Chris Pratt has spoken about the importance of depending on Jesus Christ when addressing his haters.
On Monday, Pratt, 43, spoke with Page Six exclusively at a screening of his upcoming Marvel movie “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3″ and got candid about the criticism he has received for being bold about his faith.
“I sure do but that’s nothing new, that’s nothing new, you know?” Pratt said.
He also referenced scripture as his defense.
“If I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world. That’s John 15:18 through 20,” he added.
Pratt used Jesus Christ as an example.
“That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him, too,” the “Jurassic World” star shared.

In June 2022, Pratt spoke with Men’s Health about the backlash he received for attending Hillsong Church, which has been deemed as “infamously anti-LGBTQ.”
“Nothing could be further from the truth. I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone,” Pratt previously wrote on his Instagram story, according to People.
He continued, “My faith is important to me but no church defines me or my life, and I am not a spokesman for any church or any group of people. My values define who I am. We need less hate in this world, not more.”
Pratt added that he was “a man who believes that everyone is entitled to love who they want free from the judgment of their fellow man.”
