Who needs to see a Broadway show when the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump is in town?

As unprecedented trial takes place in a Manhattan courtroom, onlookers are camping outside the courthouse and paying hundreds to thousands of dollars for a seat in the courtroom, per Fox News.

The New York Times reported the line to get into court was “crazy long,” and “tensions were running high in the public line.”

There were people lining up Monday night to hear the testimony of ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen. Some waited in line themselves while others paid for people to stand in line in their stead.

“It’s better than a Broadway show,” said a woman who paid someone $750 to hold her spot in line, according to the Times.

One man who was at the front of the line sold his spot to two people for $2,000.

Some were prepared with sleeping bags and pillows.

Cohen is considered a star witness as the prosecution tries to prove Trump falsified business records regarding a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Trump has denied an alleged sexual encounter with Daniels happened, while Daniels testified they had sex in 2006. She said to stay quiet about the incident.

Some notable figures showed up to support Trump.

They included Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La.), North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.), and former presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy.

Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records.
