The U.S. may have lost another celebrity since President Donald Trump returned to the White House.

According to Fox News, singer Courtney Love revealed plans to get her British citizenship and remain in the United Kingdom, where she has resided since since 2019. While she has lived there for years, the Hole singer said she’s ready to make it permanent.

“It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen – I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!” she said, per a report in The Daily Mail.

The singer also criticized the U.S. president.

“In terms of Trump, and particularly this group… it’s like emperor-core – like, [they’re] wearing million-dollar watches,” she said.

She called the U.S. “frightening.”

“Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago. It’s frightening now. It’s like cyanide now,” she said.

“Core” is internet slang for an aesthetic or trend associated with the word as a suffix.

Love, 60, is probably best known as the widow of Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain, who died by suicide in 1994.

She is the latest celebrity to leave the U.S. after Trump regained the presidency.

Rosie O’Donnell said she now lives in Ireland with her daughter, Dakota, 12, who now goes by Clay, IJR reported.

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi moved to England after Trump’s win, per IJR.

“I decided to take up gardening,” DeGeneres said. “I got chickens. Let me see what else I can tell you about what’s been going on … Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business … Yeah, the ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. That was the headline.”

When the news broke about Love, she did not receive much love on X:

I’m perplexed by how much media attention this story is getting. Courtney Love is a disaster of a human being, if anything having her leave the USA is a blessing.

Good riddance—America is better off without Courtney Love. Her erratic behavior, drug abuse, legal troubles, public outbursts, feuds, exploitation of Kurt Cobain’s legacy, and reckless parenting made her a disgrace to rock history. https://t.co/c7sSXX6cf1
