Well, here we go again.
President Donald J. Trump meets with Vladimir Putin — a meeting that should’ve stopped the presses and brought wall-to-wall coverage across the so-called “objective” networks — and what does he get? A full-court smear campaign from the usual suspects in legacy media who, let’s be honest, wouldn’t say something nice about Trump even if he personally negotiated the sun to rise five minutes earlier just to give Americans more daylight.
You’d think “global diplomacy” would be front-page material. Nope. Not when Trump’s the one pulling it off.

Instead, we get the same song and dance. CNN with its furrowed brows. MSNBC with its breathless panels asking, “What does this really mean for democracy?” And don’t forget the New York Times, who probably had an op-ed draft titled “Trump Shakes Hands, World Loses Trust” pre-written and ready to hit “publish” the second Marine One touched down.
Let’s look at what actually happened: Trump sits down with Putin in Alaska, not exactly a cozy Kremlin hideaway, and discusses ending Biden’s war. Yes, Biden’s. The same conflict that Sleepy Joe stumbled us into by signaling weakness, mumbling through press conferences, and botching every opportunity to show strength on the world stage. And Trump, somehow, despite all that inherited chaos, manages to start diffusing it.
But here’s the kicker: Trump knows — we all know — that no matter what he does, it will never be good enough for the press. He could negotiate Moscow away from Russia and they’d still find a way to call it authoritarian. He could orchestrate six peace deals (oh wait — he did) and they’d shrug and say, “Well, there wasn’t enough diversity at the negotiating table.”
He said it plainly: “If I got Russia to give up Moscow… the Fake News… would say I made a terrible mistake.” And he’s not wrong. Remember when he brokered historic peace agreements in the Middle East? The Abraham Accords? Where were the glowing headlines then? Crickets. You’d think he handed out parking tickets, not ended decades-long hostilities.
And let’s not forget the throwback moment — Mike Huckabee, in full preacher-sarcasm mode, nailing the reality back in 2020: Trump could suck the virus out of people’s lungs, sacrifice himself to save the world, and the media would accuse him of eco-terrorism for “messing up the ocean.” You laugh because it’s ridiculous — but only just barely. Because we’ve seen this pattern. Over and over.
Dear Democrats,
You are not allowed to criticize Trump for any reason whatsoever.
What steps did you take to stop this war?
Oh that’s right, you sent hundreds of BILLIONS of our tax dollars to Ukraine, and tried to drag us directly into war with Russia…

Here’s the part that stings: the media isn’t just biased — they’re invested in Trump’s failure. They need the villain. Without him, their ratings tank. Their moral superiority complex starts to rot. They’ve crafted their entire narrative — their entire business model — around Orange Man Bad, and they’re not about to give that up just because he’s out there negotiating real peace while Biden’s out here forgetting what year it is.
So what happens next? Trump meets with Zelensky. Will the media call that a diplomatic miracle? Or will they spin it as “Trump cozying up to fascism in Eastern Europe”? Honestly, do we even have to guess?
BREAKING: President Trump tells Zelensky – NO NATO membership, and NO re-claiming Crimea from Russia.
“President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants to, or he can continue to fight. Remember how it started.”

What’s wild is that we’re not talking about hypotheticals here. We’re talking about a guy — love him or hate him — who has a track record of stopping wars. Securing borders. Reviving economies. And yet the media behaves like it’s 2016 Groundhog Day all over again.
They’re not just ignoring the facts — they’re actively reversing them. That’s not journalism. That’s propaganda with a search bar.
And while they scribble their next opinion piece calling Trump a dictator for preventing another world war, just remember: if this were Biden — if this were Obama — they’d already have him fitted for his fourth Nobel Peace Prize by now.
JUST IN: Vladimir Putin has brought possibly HUNDREDS of business leaders from Russia who want to capitalize on peace with Ukraine, and to potentially strengthen economic ties with the US.
Absolutely a promising sign.

But it’s Trump. So buckle up. The truth doesn’t matter. Only the narrative does. And if he wants a shred of credit? He’ll have to take it himself — because the media sure as hell won’t hand it to him.
