NBC News gave a dozen federal judges an anonymous platform on Thursday to harshly attack the Supreme Court’s handling of cases revolving around President Donald Trump’s agenda.

In the article, “In rare interviews, federal judges criticize Supreme Court’s handling of Trump cases,” NBC News cited 12 judges who were “frustrated” that the highest court continues to overturn lower court rulings in favor of Trump “with little to no explanation.” Ten of those judges accused the justices of behaving inexcusably” by allegedly “assisting” the administration.

The piece, written by Lawrence Hurley, lamented how some judges are receiving threats of violence because the administration allegedly targets any judge when they rule in a way they do not like. One of the anonymous judges who said he is receiving death threats warned that somebody “will die.”

“When judges issue rulings the Trump administration does not like, they are frequently targeted by influential figures in MAGA world and sometimes Trump himself, who called for a judge who ruled against him in a high-profile immigration case to be impeached. White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller has said the administration is the victim of a ‘judicial coup.’” the article states. “The judge who said the Supreme Court justices are behaving inexcusably has received threats of violence and is now fearful when someone knocks on the door at home.”

“If major efforts are not made to address the situation, the judge said, ‘somebody is going to die,’” the article said, citing the anonymous judge.

UNREAL: NBC News just gave 12 federal judges anonymity to bash the Supreme Court and President Trump.

It’s pure insanity for NBC to grant these judges anonymity.

The Supreme Court has handed 17 victories to the Trump administration, with five of those not including any substantive reasoning, according to NBC News. The judges complained that their role in the judicial system is allegedly being “undermined” by the justices.

“It’s very discouraging,” one judge said. “We are operating in a bit of a vacuum.”

Some judges criticized Chief Justice John Roberts for not defending the judiciary when the Trump administration speaks out against “judicial overreach,” according to NBC News. Other judges were less willing to say anything negative about the chief justice.

Many of these anonymous judges appeared upset that the justices allowed Trump to fire members of the National Labor Relations Board and the Merit Systems Protection Board, as well as downsize the Department of Education, according to NBC News.

One Obama-appointed judge stated that some of the lower courts were “out of line” by blocking some of Trump’s policies.

Federal judges have interfered with Trump’s policies in dozens of cases since the beginning of his second term. A Clinton-appointed judge ruled that Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Los Angeles, California, violated the law in a Tuesday ruling, and a Biden-appointed judge halted the administration’s attempt to send hundreds of unaccompanied children back to Guatemala.

The administration challenged three lower court rulings that blocked Trump’s end to birthright citizenship for children born to illegal immigrants. The justices found that the lower courts exceeded their authority by issuing a nationwide block on Trump’s policy and ultimately ended their abilities to issue nationwide injunctions.
