The crazed “No Kings” protests around the country last weekend brought together the absolute worst of the Trump deranged people in the country and turned out to be nothing more than the latest fraud perpetrated on the American people by the radical left.

The well-funded astroturf sideshow is additional proof that the Democrat Party is coming apart at the seams, and headlines like “Violent symbolism, threats steal show at nationwide ‘No Kings’ protests” should tell us all we need to know.

In the real world, the “No Kings” operation is seen as an exhibition in dishonesty and desperation by a shrinking group of traditionally unchecked activists who are terrified by the commonsense reforms being enacted by President Donald Trump. With a straight face, the far left is trying to convince anyone who will listen that the president is a king — even in the midst of a government shutdown.

It’s so absurd we shouldn’t have to waste time on it, but these are the crazy times we live in. Hardworking taxpayers and God-fearing America loving families from coast to coast know that if President Trump were a king, the government would be open. These horrendous optics for Democrats and their Soros-funded marches are fitting for a dying movement that’s out of fresh ideas and innovative policies.

If nothing else, these counterproductive protests will galvanize support behind Trump’s America First agenda and the growing consensus that the left has gone too far. Let’s remember that “No Kings” is no different than the phony Occupy Wall Street sit-ins and Trump-hating Resistance efforts before it.

In fact, they’re all designed to do the same things: give the left’s professional protest industry something to do; keep angry, disillusioned people angry and disillusioned; and foment division among Americans. Make no mistake, this is an industry and a key component of the Democrat Party.

Our 45th and 47th president is a citizen-politician and a once in a lifetime change agent who represents an existential threat to the failed status quo that the Democrat Party has been building methodically for the past century. Sadly, as long as the corrupt mainstream media chooses to remain an accomplice, the left’s modus operandi of cooking up false narratives like the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, and countless others will continue.

Let’s get one thing straight, the federal government hasn’t been shut down for more than three weeks because President Trump is some all-powerful despot.  The government is closed because a small group of career Democrat politicians in the U.S. Senate — led by Minority Leader Chuck Schumer — feel their power slipping away and are trying urgently to appease their agitated base.

The American people are well-versed on the facts; and the facts are that the government remains closed today because sixty votes are needed in the Senate to pass a funding bill, and there are only 53 Republicans.

The true tyrants in this shameful episode are the likes of Democrat Sens. Schumer, Dick Durbin, and Bernie Sanders — just to name a few — who’ve been in Congress a total of 120 years. Watching this unaccountable bunch try to falsely label Trump, a twice democratically elected president, a king is simply beyond the pale.

Afterall, this is the same outfit that gleefully allowed former President Joe Biden to ignore the Supreme Court and illegally pay off billions in student loans with taxpayer dollars without congressional authorization. It’s also the same con artists who turned a blind eye to the Obama and Biden administration’s weaponization of our nation’s law enforcement and intelligence agencies against President Trump.

And lest we forget, these are the same people who coronated Kamala Harris as their 2024 nominee for president even though she didn’t receive a single primary vote.

Should the GOP hold firm in negotiations with Democrats during potential government shutdowns?

Senate Democrats manufactured a crisis over Obamacare — former President Barack Obama’s signature legislation — to justify shutting the government down. In a truly despicable act, they’ve chosen to keep the people’s work hostage if Republicans won’t agree to tack on $1.5 trillion in additional spending for enhanced COVID-era Obamacare subsidies and health benefits for illegal immigrants.

The reason Obamacare needs a bail out is because it’s not working, like so many other government programs. The truth is that since its inception in 2010, Obamacare has been ineffective at keeping health care costs down and delivering quality care.

President Trump and Republicans in Congress are ready and willing to have an honest and transparent debate about reforming our health care system. However, this can only be accomplished if Senate Democrats finally vote to re-open the government. And any debate about the future of health care must be grounded in reality — that means acknowledging that we must stop spending at COVID-era levels four years after the China virus has ended.

The federal government spent $4.4 trillion in fiscal year 2019 and now we’re spending around $7 trillion annually. This is both reckless and unsustainable, but unfortunately only President Trump and the GOP are sounding the alarm.

America must return to pre-COVID spending right now or risk bankruptcy far sooner than anticipated. This starts by opening the government and holding a legitimate debate about rising health care costs and our catastrophic $37.9 trillion national debt.

If we want to fix our healthcare system while paying down the debt, it can’t be done by propping up a failed program just because it’s got Barack Obama’s name on it.  Republicans must not cave to pressure from left-wing Democrats and the liberal media under any circumstances.

The GOP won’t win in 2026 and beyond by being Democrat-lite. Like President Ronald Reagan used to say — and President Trump lives by — it’s time for bold colors, not pale pastels.

Democrats are at their weakest point in recent memory; it’s time to break the back of those who exist to defend the failed status quo that’s destroying our country.

This is a fight worth having.
