Concerns are growing for Christina Applegate after reports surfaced that the actress has been hospitalized in Los Angeles.
According to a report, the 54-year-old was admitted in late March, though it remains unclear what prompted the hospitalization, per Page Six.
Applegate has been living with multiple sclerosis since revealing her diagnosis in 2021, but there has been no confirmation that her reported hospital stay is connected to the condition.
A representative declined to provide specifics about her situation.
“I have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are. She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast,” the spokesperson told TMZ.
In recent months, Applegate has spoken candidly about the physical toll of her illness.
During a February interview, she described how ongoing pain has left her largely confined to bed, even as she tries to maintain routines with her teenage daughter.
“I want to take her; it’s my favorite thing to do. It’s the only time we have together by ourselves,” she said.
“I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that’s what I do.”
Her openness about her diagnosis has been a consistent theme since she first shared the news publicly.
“Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition,” she wrote at the time.
“It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a–hole blocks it.”
She added, “As one of my friends that has MS said, ‘We wake up and take the indicated action.’ And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo.”
Applegate rose to fame as Kelly Bundy on the long-running sitcom “Married… with Children,” a role that helped define her early career in Hollywood.
She has continued to share her experiences more recently through her memoir, offering insight into both her time in the entertainment industry and her ongoing health struggles.
While details about her reported hospitalization remain limited, her past comments underscore the challenges she has been facing in recent years.
