Bangladesh Bank eases forex rules for freelancers nationwide — Jul 22, 2026Bangladesh Bank announced new circulars to ease foreign exchange transactions for freelancers and individual service exporters, expanding digital payment access and simplifying documentation. The rules allow small-value inward remittances up to $20,000, permit up to $10,000 per transaction via online payment gateways, increase exporters’ retention quotas to 50% for ICT firms and 30% for others, and broaden the use of dual-currency cards, MFSPs, and PSPs to strengthen formal remittance channels and foreign exchange inflows.
