A North Charleston-based clothing company, Born United, has agreed to pay Buc-ee’s $850,000 to settle a trademark infringement dispute over using Buc-ee’s beaver logo on military-themed merchandise, and must permanently stop using the logo, destroy affected products, and remove all related advertisements. The settlement also imposes that any future violations could trigger attorneys’ fees for Buc-ee’s and Born United, with the merchandise tied to stores in Summerville, North Charleston, and Myrtle Beach.
