Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Neel Kashkari warned that U.S. inflation remains elevated across broad sectors, extending beyond energy to services and other parts of the economy. After the Fed’s unanimous 25 basis-point rate hike to 3.75%–4.0%, he said further tightening could come if inflation remains high and stressed the Fed cannot directly lower oil prices but can curb inflation with policy.
