NASCAR plans 50-minute Cup practice at New Hampshire — Jul 23, 2026NASCAR is moving to a single 50-minute, no-break practice session for Cup Series non-superspeedway races in 2026, starting at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with an extra set of tires provided to cover the longer window; impound rules remain in effect. While this new format applies to most events, superspeedways and the Homestead-Miami finale keep their existing formats, and select weekends such as Indianapolis, Iowa, and Richmond will still use two grouped 25-minute practice sessions.
