Meta plans $17B settlement on teen social media — Aug 26, 2026Meta has agreed to multibillion-dollar settlements with state attorneys general to resolve lawsuits alleging that Facebook and Instagram harmed teens, with penalties ranging from about $16.68 billion to $18 billion and court approval required.
