Short interest climbs across ProShares ultrashortsFinance — Aug 28, 2026Short interest in ProShares inverse and leveraged ETFs showed divergent moves: UltraShort Consumer Discretionary fell 65.3% to 24,146 shares as of August 14, while Ultra SmallCap 600 and UltraShort SmallCap 600 each surged in short interest by about 132% and 130% respectively, signaling rising bearish bets on small-cap proxies.
