Paterson College on the Gold Coast has been charged with creating and possessing explicit AI-generated images of staff and students, after authorities say he used a work computer to generate the material during a nine-month investigation. The school says it acted immediately by securing the material, reporting to police, and terminating the employee; he is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on August 6, with police stressing that using AI to produce child exploitation material is a serious crime.
