Air traffic control audio released on Monday showed the moment officials realized that Delta Connection flight 4819 had crash landed and was burning on the runway.

According to Fox News, the plane crashed while it attempted to land at Toronto Pearson Airport at around 2:15 p.m. on Monday and involved 80 people onboard, including 76 passengers and 4 crew members. The flight had left Minneapolis-St. Paul airport earlier that day.

Officials have said no one died during the crash, however, there were at least 18 people injured, some are in critical condition.

At 2:13 p.m., an official was heard saying, “This airplane just crashed.”

“Just so you’re aware, there’s people also walking around the aircraft there,” an observer says.

“Yeah, we’ve got it,” a man is heard responding. “The aircraft there’s upside down and burning.”

Departures and arrivals resumed at around 5 p.m. EST Monday after Operations at Toronto Pearson Airport paused after the incident.

Of the three critically injured patients included a four-year-old child who was taken the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. The other two passengers who were critically injured were taken by ambulance to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center and St. Michael’s Hospital. Peel Regional Paramedic Services Superintendent Lawrence Saindon told Fox News Digital that among the critical injuries, none were life-threatening.

“Delta teams continue to respond to Monday’s single-aircraft accident involving Delta Connection Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air. In total, 21 injured passengers were initially transported to local hospitals. As of Tuesday morning, 19 have been released,” Delata said in a statement. “Delta’s incident response team deployed to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) Monday evening, including specially trained Delta Care Team representatives who provide support for customers, employees and their loved ones. Members of Endeavor Air’s leadership team are also on site to provide support and ensure full cooperation with investigators.”

Delta CEO Ed Bastian said the most pressing priority is the care of customers and crew members involved in the crash.

“Our most pressing priority remains taking care of all customers and Endeavor crew members who were involved,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. “We’ll do everything we can to support them and their families in the days ahead, and I know the hearts, thoughts and prayers of the entire Delta community are with them.
